F-STOP FARM CSA + The Night Owl
F-Stop Farm CSA at Squatch
Yo! Ryan Farnau, local organic farmer, Squatch Frontier Fitness Affiliate + Seed Market Vendor will be offering CSA to Squatch members for 10 weeks from early March through early May! Click here to sign up! Registration for the F-Stop Farm CSA closes Feb. 28.
Why CSA? Community Supported Agriculture or subscription farming is a mutually supportive partnership between consumers and farmers. Consumers are reconnected to the land and to the people who grow their food while supporting the diversity of agriculture through the preservation of small farms and production of a wide variety of crops.
The Benefits When you purchase vegetables from a store or roadside stand, you don't know about the growing location, chemicals used, or the variety or age of the product. The average grocery store product is 7-14 days old and its variety selected for ease of picking and length of shelf life. Often it has been trucked in from out of state or country. All of this contributes to loss of nutrition and taste. The varieties of veggies we grow are chosen for flavor and nutritional content. You will enjoy a wide variety of produce grown using organic methods, usually harvested the day before delivery.
As farmers, we benefit by having committed and familiar customers who develop a long term interest in the viability of our farm. Helping to sustain local small farms helps to preserve the landscape of a community, as well as to promote a more energy efficient society.
What’s In The First Box Lettuce mix, braising greens, arugula, green onions, carrots, radish, herbs, and flowers. (CSA pickups at TFM markets will be able to pick their own items from what is available at the farm stand.)
In addition, you will receive a weekly email detailing the contents of the share, farm happenings, storage tips and recipes.

THE CAUSE
This month’s Seed Market benefits a cause close to Squatch trainer Danielle Gertner’s in Autism Society of Texas. Use the Dip Jar in Crypto Cafe all month to give directly to the organization that directly supports all affected by Autism in the Central Texas area.
December’s Holiday Seed Market benefitted Wonders + Worries, the organization that helped Adrienne hold her family of 6 together after the Stage 4 Synovial Sarcoma diagnosis and eventual death of her husband and father of 4 in 2017. Wonders + Worries supports children and families who are experiencing the effects of long term illness in a family member through school support, counseling and education. It is a true gift to Adrienne to be able to see the circle of giving complete with the charitable donation of over $500 to Wonders + Worries in monetary donations and supplies raised at the Holiday Frontier Seed Market.
Every Seed Market will directly contribute to a local organization that directly aligns with the purpose of Squatch staff and/or members. Please do not hesitate to send over organizations you have in mind - events@squatchfitness.com.
