Trailblazer Spotlight:
I know you’ve seen him at the gym. That guy with the bulging muscles, the big bright smile, and oh so shiny head. Yep! I’m talking about the one and only, Head Trainer, Zeik!
Zeik stays prepared in the gym by knowing his baseline, deciding his goals, determining a timeline and designing a plan of action. He always knows what movements he will focus on for several weeks at a time. Zeik says the Squatch community, “encourages preparedness through planning. I can always tell who knows what they are going to do on any given day and who hasn’t put in that thought or planning.”
If Zeik could only have one piece of equipment to workout with, he would choose the barbell. Why the barbell? You can perform strength, volume, hypertrophy, conditioning, and mobility work with this one tool.
Zeik teaches group classes at Squatch on Monday and Friday at 6am and Saturday at 10am. Peach Camp, offered on Monday and Saturday is a gym favorite, often filling up a few weeks in advance. Make sure to sign up on the Squatch App to check out some of his classes to learn his favorite way to utilize the barbell.
