Country Club Creek Trail Clean Day 9am-1pm
Message from Buzz Mill:
We are still proceeding as planned. The weather doesn't look great so we wanted to remind everyone to dress appropriately. Wear long pants, closed toe shoes, something to keep the rain off if you have it. We will have gloves and grabbers, etc, but feel free to bring your own. If you can't make it we understand.
We have not cleaned up Country Club Creek by Elmont in several years, and the creek really needs some attention. The trash from Country Club Creek flows into Roy Guerrero Park. Elmont is a good place to intercept the trash because the creek is close to the road, and the trees stop the big items.
We were going to offer transport from Buzz Mill to the site but with Omicron on the loose we have decided to NOT pack a bunch of people into vans. We now have two options for where the volunteers can meet us.
Meet us at Buzz Mill, 1505 Town Creek Drive, from 9-9:30am for a Cup of Joe on us. OR meet us between 9:45-10am at the Elmont Drive Trail Head – Country Club Creek Trail located here: https://goo.gl/maps/xN2FvpQWL2fk886s7. That's where we'll be doing the work.
Following the clean we'll head back to Buzz Mill for a drink and lunch on us! Thanks in advance for your help in assisting us to keep our Neighborwoods clean for all to enjoy!
RSVP is down for this event, so just show up! We’ll be there.
